A Frosty Saturday Morning

On Saturday morning we awoke to heavy fog, and nearly all surfaces were frosted with thick white crystals. I went out about 9:30 and took some images around Iowa State and then drove out into the country and found many hoar frost scenes that caught my eye. As much as I dislike crows I did enjoy the contrast of their black feathers and the frost on the trees as they shared a tree top meeting to plan harassment strategies for the day! The church panorama is St. Paul's Lutheran, the quintessential white steepled country church about ten miles north of United Community School along highway 17. The forecast is for more of the same kind of weather come Sunday morning...so maybe you should take a stroll or a safe drive out and see it for yourself! Enjoy!
