This was me on the steps of Beardshear Elementary School.. I was 4 years old. I was allowed to go school early as my birthday was on November and I was "big for my age" - I it was good that I was able keep with the work. The school was a wonderful school and when I became a teacher and came back to Ames the teachers at Beardshear all gave me a wonderful welcome and so then became my colleagues.
