...the Government of the United States, which gives to bigotry no sanction, to persecution no assistance, requires only that they who live under its protection should demean themselves as good citizens in giving it on all occasions their effectual support. Geo. Washington Feb. 22, 1732
Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring, those ripples build a current that can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance.
Robert Kennedy, South Africa 1966.

The "Kid" is getting used to us. He is still getting used to us but he is better at coming in (he always did go out fine) and sometimes he comes right in but other times BG has to prop the door open so he will come in.
But he likes his treats and he comes to get them.
He is getting better and he licks BG's fingers and will let BG scratch him.
BG is good at using both of his hands to give us back rubs and ear rubs. It is fun.
Sometimes I just look at him and wonder what he will do next.
BG says the neighbor's backyard is a major mess but I told he will have to lump it or leave it... Hee Hee.
Then there are lots of other pictures which BG took.
BG says he was surprised to see me doing my back dance.
He has his evil eyes on for this picture

“Do not be content with showing friendship in words alone, let your heart burn with loving kindness for all who may cross your path.”
“Do I not destroy my enemies when I make them my friends?”
Do your little bit of good where you are; it's those little bits of good put together that overwhelm the world.
Only from the heart can you touch the sky.
“The cave you fear to enter holds the treasure you seek.”
“Simplicity, patience, compassion.
These three are your greatest treasures.
Love is not an emotion, it is your very existence.

Dancin’ The Slow Dance!
January 11, 2005
They came down the aisle,
Side by side,
Arm in arm.
Left foot right foot,
They’re dancin’ the slow dance now.
Not for them intricate steps of a Tango, Rumba or Waltz,
No Boogie Woogie, Charleston, or Cha Cha Cha
He doesn’t sweep her around the floor or dip her way back,
But they still move together,
Slow dancin’ to the music of life
You can tell theirs has been a long dance
The way they move together
A joy to watch for those who see.
(Most don’t see them).
Just an old couple moving slowly through the store
But there is rare beauty in their movement
Side by side,
Arm in arm,
Left feet forward.
Right feet forward
They’re slow dancin’ the last dance together.
