Nubian, lop eared goats . Photos by Bob Kelly

This small herd or Nubian, lop eared goats sure provided lots of interesting viewing!   In the first photo Mom and her kid, enjoy a nose rub!
The next photos show the two color variations that were there, and these kids were a cute as they could be.  Next one gets hungry and food is always available on demand!

The little kids were frolicking and jumping around and having a good time, which you can see in a couple of the shots.

When Mama Nanny has an itch on her behind, the best thing to do is scratch it, and so she does on a fence next to their pasture.

As I left, the same Nanny was looking at me longingly and a bit sad I think, seems she wanted me to stay.  Don’t worry….chances are I will be back!

Sun, Fog, and Frost! Photos by Bob Kelly

Friday morning we had a bright yellow ball sunrise, for the first time in two weeks!  The brilliant yellow light, combined with a brisk morning, created fog over river bottom areas, which produced frost on plants in that area.

Here are eight photos that capture the sunrise, the fog, and the frost as only Mother Nature could make them!

Frosty March Sunrise... ~ Photos by Bob Kelly

It was a frosty +6 degrees this morning.  The skies were clear and golden, and the frost on the trees and fences was spectacular!

ICE STORM PICS photos by Bob Kelly

Most of Iowa was coated like this when the Monday morning of January 16, 2017 greeted us.  It was treacherously slick on hard surfaces like concrete, but when I walked around on the grass, it sounded as if I was crushing potato chips, and I felt much safer.  By 8 AM we were getting some light drizzle that began to freeze on top of the ice, although by Wednesday of this week it is to be up to 50 degrees.  Dried seed heads, flower stems, leaves, and backyard objects took on a beautiful delicate appearance.

Don’t even think about going out!!   Thanks!

The last group of fall images.... Photos by Bob Kelly

This may be the last fall grouping of photos for this year, as I think I have covered about as much as I am able. There will soon be some winter shots (no big rush for that!), and other images will present themselves to me and of course I will shoot them. So for now here is this last group of 18 images, with no caption on them, for they visually speak for themselves, as they display a collection of themes we associate with this beautiful time of the year.
