I understand that the Register is going to publish these on the Editorial page and run columns from people on both sides of the issue along with them. Should be such fun to see the Teapartyscums try to justify what is going on,  In Colorado they are moving to make it a First Degree Homicide of an unborn child for taking a morning after pill.  With 135 bills nationwide limiting women's rights to govern their own bodies I feel like the inmates are governing the asylum.

Another of the Doonesbury strips that Des Moines Register editor Rick Green said "oversteps the boundaries of good taste" and contain "graphic imagery [that] does not match the mission of The Register's family-focused Iowa Life comics section." According to Smith, discussions of the recent outrageous activities surrounding women's health don't belong "wedged beneath 'Family Circus' and 'Dennis the Menace.'" Interestingly enough, "circus" and "menace" are two of the first words that come to mind when I think of these attacks.
