Throwback Thursday,

In 1959 I graduated from High school. There were 17 in our graduating class.  Here are some of the pictures from our Class Trip which was in Washington and New York City.

There were 5 ocean liners who all arrived in New York while we were in the Circle Tour.  The girls found it humorous that there were hundreds of condoms floating in the river as the holding tanks were being emptied. The School Superintend did not see the humor in it.

Toad Tales.

I used this in March,, Now we find this one,

Desiderata
Profound Thoughts.

Go placidly amid the noise and waste,
And remember what comfort there may be in owning a piece thereof.
Avoid quiet and passive persons, unless you are in need of sleep.
Rotate your tires.
Speak glowingly of those greater than yourself,
And heed well their advice, even though they be turkeys.
Know what to kiss, and when.
Consider that two wrongs never make a right, but that three do.
Wherever possible, put people on hold.
Be comforted that in the face of all aridity and disillusionment,
and despite the changing fortunes of time,
There is always a big future in computer maintenance.
Remember The Pueblo.
Strive at all times to bend, fold, spindle, and mutilate.
Know yourself. If you need help, call the FBI.
Exercise caution in your daily affairs,
Especially with those persons closest to you -
That lemon on your left, for instance.
Be assured that a walk through the ocean of most souls
Would scarcely get your feet wet.
Fall not in love therefore. It will stick to your face.
Gracefully surrender the things of youth: birds, clean air, tuna, Taiwan.
And let not the sands of time get in your lunch.
Hire people with hooks.
For a good time, call 606-4311. Ask for Ken.
Take heart in the bedeepening gloom
That your dog is finally getting enough cheese.
And reflect that whatever fortune may be your lot,
It could only be worse in Milwaukee.
You are a fluke of the universe.
You have no right to be here.
And whether you can hear it or not,
The universe is laughing behind your back.
Therefore, make peace with your god,
Whatever you perceive him to be - hairy thunderer, or cosmic muffin.
With all its hopes, dreams, promises, and urban renewal,
The world continues to deteriorate.
Give up!

Molly on Monday

B G and I took some pictures,  I like it that I can see out.  We have been sitting on the porch.  We like that a lot.  B G has been reading.  He has been reading on his Kindle.   He likes that a lot.

The other day when we woke up it was foggy -  B G likes the fog.  He says that it is because some of his ancestors were from England and Scotland and they like it that way.

B G took a lot of pictures of me around.  He likes to take pictures of me.

Some more porch sitting.

B G was watching the little bunny. Can you see him?
I was watching him over at the porch.

B G went to the grocery store store and bought another plant for the porch.  It really is a nice one and it was on sale.

And then B G took another of the picture of the Bunny.  We like it.  Thanks for stopping to see us.   Woof!

Sunday

"Beware, O believers in the Unity of God, lest ye be tempted to make any distinction between any of the Manifestations of His Cause, or to discriminate against the signs that have accompanied and proclaimed their revelation. This indeed is the true meaning of Divine Unity, if ye be of them that apprehend and believe this truth."
Gleanings from the Writings of Baha'ullah 24

Then Peter began to speak to them: I truly understand that God shows no partiality, but in every nation anyone who fears him and does what is right is acceptable to him.

Acts 10:34-45

“Please tell the children of God, each one of them is precious. … Each one of them is a member of God’s family in which there are no outsiders.”

Desmond Tut

It is the way of the Tao to return injury with kindness.
Tao Te Ching 63, Adapted

Let us live happily then, not hating those who hate us! Among people who hate us let us dwell free from hatred!

The Dhammapada 15:197

A man is not just if he carries a matter by violence: no, he who distinguishes both right and wrong, who is learned and leads others, not by violence, but by law and equity, and who is guarded by the law and the intelligent, he is called just.

The Dhammapada 19:256-257

You shall not take vengeance or bear a grudge against any of your people but you shall love your neighbor as yourself.

Leviticus 19:18

Confucius said, " There are many different roads in the world, but the destination is the same. There are a hundred different deliberations but the result is one."

I Ching, Appended Remarks 2:5 Adapted

One Universal Creator God, The Name is Truth, Creative Being Personified. No Fear. No Hatred. Image Of the Undying. Beyond Birth, Self-Existent.
