Molly on Monday

 Molly here,
Just wanted to share some new pictures that B G took of me.  He did a good job.

I stare at him a lot.  I keep expecting that he will give me a treat.

Here I am sitting on the footstool, staring out the window.
 B G asked me what I wanted.
I wanted to hold hands and get a treat.
But he didn't give me one.  He does give me them occasionally. Like every time I come in from outside. (But they are small)
So I went back to my couch and gave him "the look."
But that did not do any good.  So I took a nap.  Fall is a good time to nap.

Oh, I almost forgot Jon had a couple of pictures up on Facebook.  One of him and one of Miles...they both look good and we miss them.

Have a good week. Woof.  ( I did play with Cassie but B G was to slow on getting the camera out. I shall have to dock his wages.)

Road Trip

I went to Cedar Rapids yesterday.  I always love the drive on Highway 30 between Ames and Cedar Rapids.  Especially the Bohemian Hills on the East side of Tama.  It was an especially beautiful day to drive with the fall colors.  I hope you enjoy the trip with me.

Sunday

“Take time first to be holy. Don’t let a day go by without meditation and prayer for some definite purpose, and not for self, but that self may be the channel of help to someone else. For in helping others is the greater way to help self.” (Edgar Cayce reading 3624-1)

It gets extraordinarily beautiful when there's no more me and you, and it just becomes us.
Open Heart Extra -

We can make this a more peaceful century if we cherish non-violence and concern for others’ well-being. It is possible. If the individual is happier, his or her family is happier; if families are happy, neighbourhoods and nations will be happy. By transforming ourselves we can change our human way of life and make this a century of compassion.

You and I are the force for transformation in the world. We are the consciousness that will define the nature of the reality we are moving into.

Saturday Surprise

My friend Robert P. shared this on Facebook. I agree with him. Relaxing. This 9 year old Dutch girl has an amazing voice. And she taught herself to sing. (I just wish the judges would not have ruined it by commenting while she was singing.) And over at Care2 you can rean an article about 11 of the 400+ new species found in the Amazon of which this flower is just one. Go here to read it.

Found For Friday

A beautiful woman loved growing tomatoes, but couldn't seem to get her tomatoes to turn red.
One day, while taking a stroll, she came upon a gentleman neighbor.
He had the most beautiful garden full of huge red tomatoes.
The woman asked the gentleman, "What do you do to get your tomatoes so red?"
The man responded, "Well, twice a day I stand in front of my tomato garden,  naked in my trench coat and flash them. My tomatoes turn red from blushing so much."
The woman was so impressed; she decided to try doing the same thing to her tomato garden to see if it would work.
So twice a day for two weeks she flashed her garden hoping for the best.
One day the gentleman was passing by and asked the woman,
"By the way, how did you make out? Did your tomatoes turn red?”
"No", she replied, "but my cucumbers are enormous."

Sleeping comes so naturally to me, I could do it with my eyes closed.
