Transformational Truth 4: Carlos Castaneda
Loving this world, seeing the beauty in everything.
Appreciating every moment as a beautiful, wholly contained,
pearl of eternal nature, this is the world to me.
A never ending string of pearls…. every moment is in and of it’s self a life time,
and when we have affection and let ourselves experience life without expectation…
that is when the majesty of the world opens her petals to us…
And welcomes us home.
~ Carlos Castaneda

"God's normal is always bigger than our normal."
- Retired Bishop John Shelby Spong

"Be selective in your battles, for sometimes peace is better than being right."
-Unknown

“We are made for goodness. We are made for love. We are made for friendliness. We are made for togetherness. We are made for all of the beautiful things that you and I know. We are made to tell the world that there are no outsiders. All are welcome: black, white, red, yellow, rich, poor, educated, not educated, male, female, gay, straight, all, all, all. We all belong to this family, this human family, God's family. do your little bit of good wherever you are; it's those little bits of good put together that overwhelm the world.”
― Desmond Tutu

"As we grow in our consciousness, there will be more compassion and more love, and then the barriers between people, between religions, between nations will begin to fall. Yes, we have to beat down the separateness."
- Ram Dass: an American spiritual teacher

"In the end only 3 things matter: How much you loved, how gently you lived, and how gracefully you let go of things not meant for you."
-Buddha

"Kindness has a beautiful way of reaching down into a weary heart and making it shine like the rising sun."
-Unknown

"Everything you want is on the other side of fear."
-Jack Canfield: an American author, and motivational speaker

"Throw your dreams into space like a kite, and you do not know what it will bring back, a new life, a new friend, a new love, a new country."
- Anais Nin

Christianity is, I believe, about expanded life, heightened consciousness and achieving a new humanity. It is not about closed minds, supernatural interventions, a fallen creation, guilt, original sin or divine rescue. I am tired of seeing the Bible being used, as it has been throughout history, to legitimize slavery and segregation, to subdue women, to punish homosexuals, to justify war and to oppose family planning and birth control. That is a travesty which must be challenged and changed.  -  Bishop John Shelby Spong

sometimes peace is better than battle - this is a tricky one viz. trying to know when to apply this.
