Tombstone, Arizona - Photos by Bob Kelly

Welcome to Tombstone, Arizona, an real old west town, that still hangs on, along with lots of tourist attractions.

Cowboys of all sorts hang around here, some driving stage coaches, some looking like tough hombres, others wanting to sell you a ghost tour of the old attractions, and a few times a day the group of four along with others reenact the shoot out of the OK Corral.

The three men with badges are Wyatt Earp and his two brothers in the company of Doc Holiday, the town drunk, and participant in the shootout that became famous.

The Cochise county courthouse is classic as are the two carved Indians I photographed.  Boot Hill is where you can find several former Tombstone citizens, who were not so lucky.  It is a fun place to visit if you are in south west Arizona.

I should share with you my photo of the Tombstone motel reception staff. A large coon dog was sitting there in the desk chair! We had to leave and come back later! Fun place but the Birdcage was the most interesting. In AZ they had Wyatt Earp's grandson sharing their twighlight years in Hollywood. Wish I'd been able to go!

I remember this being on of our side trips on vacation as an 11 year old. I wanted to know if there were people really buried under those rocks!
