Throwback Thursday,

 This is a book which was given to me on my 10th birthday by my Great Aunt Ethel (Auntie)

When I was in fourth grade in Beardshear my teacher was Miss Kerby.  She read this book to us.  I LOVED IT THEN, I still love it now.

I still have this copy.  It is not in good shape.

 But that is probably because I also read it to my classes or many of them.

It is a timeless story.

While I was leafing through it I certainly had a "Throwback" experience.

The story is wonderful and Wesley Dennis'' illustrations stellar.
