25 October 2011 Serengeti Tanzania: birth of elephant in the wild. This video shows the behavior of the elephant herd during the birth (with the exception of the male that stood to the side watching for intruders), the celebration, and how the soil was loosened around the baby so that it would be cushioned if it fell when trying to get up.
