Don't blame Me Blame John

Today is Groundhog Day.

John sent me these and said this was his favorite holiday.  John had 9 rescue dogs that live with him. He is a kind and gentle man.  Say a prayer for him he lost his second dog to cancer in a month. He will probably get a couple more. Of all my Masonic Friends John is at the top of the list (not alone up there but right on top).  It is always hard to lose a friend but John's dogs are well cared for and loved.

Well, I don't know if that's an encomium, a panegyric, or an obituary. Any of the three would be, in my opinion, a bit premature. In any case, thanks—and I'm blushing.

I know when I take in a rescue dog or cat that he or she will likely predecease me, but losing so many in the past couple of years, and two in less than a month, is tough. I wish letting them go got easier, but it just seems to get harder every time.

And, yeah, there's more room in the inn, and there will be some new family members moving in.

Thanks, Jay—I think...

You're right up there on my list too, you know.
