Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring, those ripples build a current that can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance.

Arcadia Lodge Education Night

Arcadia Lodge recognized Education tonight with presentations of Grand Lodge and Arcadia Lodge Scholarships and the Annual Arcadia Lodge Teacher of the Year Award.  It was preceded by a delicious meal prepared entirely by our Junior Warden.  Following the meal (the best I have ever eaten at Lodge) and the Presentations Dr. Tim Taylor, Superintendent  spoke to us about the Ames Schools and our teacher of the year.  It was a wonderful evening.

Once again, thank you so much for the honor of being chosen to represent the Masonic Lodge as the Ames Teacher of the Year. I truly appreciate all that you do to show that you support and value education in our community. --Charlyn Mason, Kate Mitchell Elementary
