What is this?

One of my former students who blogs at Cycling Without a Helmet. Took this picture. She calls it a fractal vegetable. Does anyone have any idea what it is, how you prepare it or what it tastes like.

I am actually with her. I think I would put it on the shelf and just stare at it.

I have mentioned Alicia before. She is living in The Netherlands and her pictures are wonderful. Go look.

It's probably cauliflower. :) Google searching confirms this- http://www.math.toronto.edu/~drorbn/Gallery/Plants/Cauliflower-1.html

I read you in Google Reader all the time- love to see pics of the dogs and I enjoy the Found for Friday. :)

Oddest looking cauliflower I have ever seen. But then these special members of the cabbage family can look pretty odd. This actually looks more like something I have seen in the store occasionally which is described as a cross between cauliflower and brocolli. I was never tempted to try it.
