Sunday

A Poem by Ganga White
What if our religion was each other?
If our practice was our life?
If prayer was our words?
What if the Temple was the Earth?
If forests were our church?
If holy water—the rivers, lakes and oceans?
What if meditation was our relationships?
If the Teacher was life?
If wisdom was self-knowledge?
If love was the center of our being?

Only when human beings are able to perceive
and acknowledge the Self in each other
can there be real peace.

~ Mata Amritanandamayi
("Amma" - the hugging saint)
We should take care not to make intellect our god. It has, of course, powerful muscles, but no personality. It cannot lead, it can only serve.

~Albert Einstein (1879 - 1955)
“Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognize how good things really are.”
 Marianne Williamson.

When you are content to be simply yourself and don't compare or compete, everyone will respect you.

~ Lao Tzu, Tao Te Ching

The world is changed by your example, not by your opinion.
~ Paul Coelh
You are not a drop in the ocean. You are the entire ocean in a drop.

"The Bahá'í teaching brings peace and understanding. It is like a wide embrace gathering together all those who have long searched for words of hope. It accepts all great Prophets gone before, it destroys no other creeds and leaves all doors open. Saddened by the continual strife amongst believers of many confessions and wearied of their intolerance towards each other, I discovered in the Bahá'í teaching the real spirit of Christ so often denied and misunderstood: Unity instead of strife, Hope instead of condemnation, Love instead of hate, and a great reassurance for all men.
Queen Marie of Romania
