Drink up for Saturday



Hot Gala Tomato Cocktail (Submitted by JoAnn  Cole Peterson)
Can also be served chilled. Good served with sausage and cheese puffs and olive and cheese savories.
1  46 oz can Tomato juice
¼ cup           Lemon juice
1  T             Worcestershire sauce
1 cube  Beef bullion
1 tsp      Dill weed
              Salt to taste
Procedure
1   In a large pot add all the ingredients.
2   Heat but do not boil.









Frozen Slush (Submitted by Jean Cole Bates)
1 6 oz. can Orange juice concentrate
1 6 oz. can Pink lemonade concentrate
1 large can  Crushed pineapple, drained
3                 Bananas, quartered and diced
2 cups or 2 small boxes Frozen raspberries
1 cup or 1 small box     Frozen Strawberries
2 small bottles          7-Up
Procedure
1   In a large bowl, combine all ingredients.
2   Freeze.
3   Serve slushy.



Spiced Tea (Submitted by Jan Bates Read)

A delicious hot drink.
1¼ cups  Tang
1¼ cups  Instant tea
¾  cup     Sugar
½  pkg.   Unsweetened lemonade mix
1  tsp Cinnamon
1  tsp Allspice
¼ tsp Cloves
Procedure
1   In a medium size bowl, combine all ingredients.
2   Place in a sealed container.
3   Per cup of hot water, add 1 -2 teaspoons.
4   Stir.

for a little umami add as tablespoon of vodka to each of these.

What a terrific post. I have been gradually modifying my recipe of the perfect bloody mary for years and I see an opportunity; dill!

The slushy drink looks awesome but in our house there is no way that remains virgin very long. Vodka or rum would come into the mix pretty quickly.
