Ice adding to nature's beauty - photos by Bob Kelly

As the sun rose on this frosty morning, its brilliance was reflected in the small ice pond in this harvested farm field.  Small fuzzy Foxtail heads caught the sunlight and were silhouetted in the foreground.  Meanwhile an ordinary mud puddle took on a whole new character in the early morning hours as small amounts of water were transformed into crystalized beauty.
