Into the Woods

Saturday April 6, 2013 was not a bright and sunny day. We need rain. Soon we will get the April showers we wait for and all of this will change.
You will no longer be able to see through the branches to the river flowing below.
The little brown leaves still hanging on will be forced to finally fall to the ground to make food for the new green which will sprout from the ground and will be replaced with green leaves ready for a summer of food production.

Old tree trunks, now standing will eventually fall and may become the food for the wonderful Morel Mushrooms.

Mouthwatering YUM!
The Skunk River does have water in it.

 I love Rivers
There were birds on the lake at Peterson's Pits.

I love the rounded hills near the parks.

The Tree Trunk from earlier...or maybe the pictures just got put in out of order.

The River from the other side of the Bridge.
As I said a kind of gloomy day but I enjoyed being out with my camera.

I am so glad you and Molly could be OUT there in the woods exploring and anticipating how it will look a month from now.

It doesn't look at all gloomy but dormant,
