1 cup Oatmeal, uncooked
½ cup Shortening
2 Eggs
½ cup Cocoa
½ tsp Salt

1½ cups Boiling water
1½ cups Sugar
1 cup Flour
1 tsp Flour
1 tsp Vanilla

Procedure

Grease and flour pan.

Mix oatmeal in boiling water.

Cool.

In a large bowl cream shortening and sugar and
eggs.

Add Oatmeal mixture, flour, cocoa, baking soda,
salt, and vanilla.

Pour into pan.

Bake.
Yield:
9" x 13"

Bring to a boil.

Boil only ONE MINUTE.

Pour at once over oatmeal.

Drop by tablespoonfuls on waxed paper.

bowl for this recipe.
2 cups Butter
2 cups Brown sugar
2 cups Sugar
2 tsp Vanilla
4 Eggs
1 cup Hershey candy bar, grated. Freeze before
grating or 2 bags Chocolate chips

4 cups Flour Jan used 2 cups of white flour and 2
cups of wheat flour
1 tsp Salt
2 tsp Baking powder
2 tsp Baking soda
5 cups Oatmeal
Nuts, chopped

Procedure

Grease cookie sheets.

In large bowl, cream together: butter and
sugars.

In a small bowl, beat together eggs and vanilla.

Add to creamed mixture.

Add remaining ingredients.

Bake. "Cookies won't look done".
Oven Temperature: 375°F
