Rally inside the Capitol on Monday!
Join hundreds of educators and other public employees from across the state to show your support for public employees' collective bargaining rights! House Study Bill 117 is a bill that proposes changes to our bargaining rights.
The public hearing on House Study Bill 117 will be held Monday, March 7, 6 - 8:15 p.m. in the Iowa House of Representatives chamber.
The rally will be held inside the Capitol building at 5 p.m. For a copy of the rally flyer go to www.isea.org.
Let your Legislators know they need to say:
No to making it illegal to bargain health benefits!
No to taking away our right to bargain layoffs and staff reductions!
No to throwing out a time-tested and fair arbitration process!
No to permitting some workers to cut their own deal with the boss behind closed doors! |
Weekly Forums
If you can't attend the rally be sure to attend a weekly forum if one is being held in your area this week. Challenge Legislators not to limit hard-won collective bargaining rights! Don't let them insinuate that they are not eliminating collective bargaining rights. Now is the time we need to stand together and resist changes that weaken our rights! |
