Wordzzle

As always click on the button to see the guidelines.
And don't forget to go to Raven's Nest to see all the others.

This week's 10-word challenge are: spam, problematic, flower girl, splurge, milk, orphanage, lyrics, politics, ice cream cone and cactus...

And for the Mini Challenge: drag race, poppy seed, swinging from a star, John Denver, diagram
Phrog, are you sure you want spam on crackers, poppy seed muffins, ice cream cones, cactus marmalade and milk to drink in the hospitality room?” asked Saydie. “ I don’t understand the politics of the Order but it seems a bit of a splurge to have all of that. Doesn't it seem a bit problematic to bring all of that to Jamacia? It would be better to just give them milk, cookies and a few flowers from a flower girl for decorations. Perhaps you could sponsor a drag race with a John Denver theme. You could publish the lyrics to Mountain High and advertise that you are giving most of the proceeds to the Order of the Salamander Orphanage. You could put up a diagram to show the hierarchy of the organization with you at the top. You could be swinging from a star in the diagram to show your exalted position.

Word for next week's 10-word challenge: budget, news, outer space, gargantuan, brass band, Purple Rose of Cairo, polar bears, insight, innovations, mute

And for the mini challenge: investments, purring, death penalty, mercury, convalescent home

If anyone else would like to offer words for an upcoming week, they will be gladly welcomed. I enjoy relief from having only myself to blame when I struggle to do the exercise.

Thanks for playing. For those who are new, here are some guidelines to make the process more fun.

wow you really packed all the words tightly and beautifully this week.

and Raven also connected John Denver and drag races - funny how that always happens each week with different Wordzzlers.

'swinging from a star to show your exalted position' - wonderful. The one thing I'm not sure of however is cactus marmalade. :)
Wonderfully done!

Very good story. You wouldn't happen to have a recipe for cactus marmalade would you?

Cactus Lemon Marmalade

1/2 cup lemons, thinly sliced (cover with water and soak overnight)
2 cups cactus fruit, thinly sliced
1 cup sugar

Remove cactus skin and cut in half. Remove seed and thinly slice cactus. Combine lemon slices, water and sugar with cactus. Cook until thermometer reaches 220 degrees F. Remove from heat and cool slightly. Pour into clean, hot jars leaving 1/2 inch headspace. Wipe jar mouths and adjust two-piece canning lids. Process in boiling water-bath canner for 10 minutes.

Very clever wordzzle! I was also intrigued by cactus marmalade and living here in Phoenix, I will need to give that one a try!
