I made a donation this year in lieu of buying Circus Tickets. I can not support activities which keep these magnificent animals in substandard conditions.
Evidently all is not peaceful at the Sanctuary but as the News says The Sanctuary is still worthy of our support. Thanks to Whalechaser for pointing this out for me. (Sorry about the ad you have to watch first.

Well I thought it was just a little bit weird that this organization was shown on my local news station here in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Seems the founder who was also a higher up in the organization has been fired. As if that is not bad enough they are trying to keep her from visiting with one particular elephant (the one she rescued some 25plus years ago and had just a little bit of a relationship with since) This particular elephant seems to be unique among elephants...she develops relationships with people and other animals!
But the trustees say: rules are rules no one visits the elephants they are wild animals and need to stay that way.
Looks like it will be a lose/lose situation for this one elephant. I will try to find a you tube or news article for you to see...
