Something Yummy for Saturday


This was my favorite of the Breads which Mom made.

Apricot Bread 
"Makes three small loaves." The baking time wasn't given with this recipe." Ginny





3     cups   Dried apricots
1½  cups   Pecans, chopped
1½  cups   Boiling water
2¼  cups   Sugar
3     tsp     Baking soda
6     T      Butter
3              Eggs
4½  cups   Flour
¾    tsp     Salt
Procedure
1   Grease and flour pan.
2   Cut apricots into pieces.
3   Cover with boiling water.
4   Let stand 1 hour.
5   Cream: butter, sugar, and eggs.
6   Add apricots and water.
7   In a small bowl sift: flour, baking soda, and salt.
8   Add nuts.
9   Bake.
Oven Temperature: 350°F
