Arcadia Table Lodge

The Brethren of Arcadia Lodge gathered this evening at the Quality Inn for the 10th Annual Table Lodge.

Toastmaster Robert Allen performed in his own inimitable style with his {old} jokes at which we all politely laughed. Actually they were pretty good this year.

The "box" of fraternal assistance was passed many times and over $100 was raised for the Arcadia Lodge Charity Fund.

You can click on any of the pictures to embiggen them.

Eddie Sauls, Senior Grand Warden of the

Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge

for the State of Iowa and Jurisdictions, Inc. was our speaker and he gave a fascinating talk about Prince Hall Masonry and the way it began and spread.

In 2000 the two Iowa Grand Lodges recognized each other and we now have fraternal relations with each other and may sit in each others Lodges and discuss Freemasonry together as the Brothers we are. I am proud that Arcadia Lodge was one of the sponsors of the legislation that facilitated that recognition.

Thanks for stopping by. I will add a video that shows the way we give a toast but right now Vimeo is not accepting uploads. It may be tomorrow. Check back later. Hugs, j
