Sunrise Through the Pitchfork! - A Bob Kelly Photo

This giant pitchfork is about 25 feet tall, with stainless steel tines, and was fabricated as an outdoor sculpture piece by the metal fabrication company next to it.  Those bumps on it, are Christmas lights that will make it more noticeable for the holiday season.  You Ames folks, who may have never seen it (but should!), look to the north side of the Target store, and see it in the grassy space there.  It was a lovely sunrise morning to a beautiful day!

Pitchforks were Roman symbols of male fertility.
