ISU's Forsythia and Magnolias

The bright yellow Forsythia bushes have been adding lots of bright color the last two weeks, and many are about done blooming. This one out near the Education Department is one of my favorites.

Also on the grounds is a very elderly Magnolia tree that is truly wonderful to see and absorb.

At Reiman Gardens there is a rare yellow Magnolia tree that has been beautiful as well.  In the horizontal view, you can see some of the purple-red blooms of Red Bud trees.

Jay,

Forsythia plants are one of the easiest and most dependable shrubs to grow. I love them. They remind me of my childhood.
