Silo Sunrise - photo by Bob Kelly

The cool, soft breezes of the quiet morning were accompanied by randomly appearing balls of Cottonwood fluff gently flowing through the air, as the cattle mooed one another awake, and as the fireball sun was rising up to warm the Iowa soil.  It was a special moment, you would have enjoyed, but here is how it looked!

Amazing shot ! Your choice of camera and lenses will be dictated by the types of shots you wish to take. The longer the lens, the larger you can make the sun appear with respect to other elements in a shot. Because the sun is only half a degree across, you'll need a telephoto lens with at least a 200mm focal length to make it a significant compositional element.
