Ken is here from Indiana visiting his father Wayne Davis. I met them at Chocolaterie Stam for coffee and conversation. Ken lives in Indianapolis and is a member of Lodge Vitruvian out there. We had a broad ranging conversation that lasted for an hour and a half. I first met Ken through Wayne telling me about his blogs Prospero's Books and Manage Your Writing.
I love the story he told about how his wife has spent a long time shoveling out a parking space for her mother who was coming for a visit and had just finished when some guy came in and took the space. Well, it was frustrating for her but there wasn't much she could co about it. Later in the day she heard singing and went to look out and found two of her neighbors and a bottle of wine. They were covering the car up with snow. I guess they did such a good job that the guy (jerk) had to wait four days before he could get out. Wish I'd been there.
We discussed politics, Lodge, religion (all the things you can't talk about in Lodge) and I really enjoyed myself. If you look closely at Ken's picture (taken with my new camera) you can see his Masonic ring. If you want one like it you can go to The Master's Jewel to shop. (Note - You may have to click on the picture to make it larger to see the ring.)
Ken is the one who turned me on to Google Reader which has greatly simplified my life as far as keeping up with my Blogs. Wayne is first Reader at the CS Church and he does most of the work for the Christian Science Blog. I just post his efforts. They are both great guys and I am really glad we had a chance to get together.
Wayne and his wife Ferne are off next week to Paris and Italy. While in Italy they will touch bases with the Caristi's - Be sure to follow them on Dom's Blog. - j
