Did anyone else notice how quickly he recovered from his 'breakdown'? Seems to me like he worked his family situation into his response just so he could brag about how well he's done, and then appear to shed a tear about his kids. He planned it, and it showed.
I would disagree with Kurt. I think the moment was genuine. I lost a sister to murder. On occasion the depth of emotion around that will loom up and catch me off guard and then I move past it as quickly as Biden did last night. And I don't think he was bragging. I think he was making a valid point - there are single fathers out the as well as mothers and nobody in any walk of life has a monopoly on struggle and worry.
Oh - by the way Jay - thanks for posting this. I agree with you. I have always liked Joe Biden. There's a real decency about him as a human being that has always shone through for me.
