Honk If you are Irish

So, All day long I have been hearing noises. Bass from a Stereo Horns honking and people screaming. It was all right because it did not get the "boys" to barking (although sometimes Max will bark at any noise out in front. I left to go to the bank (and forgot the deposit) and pick up supper. Larry at the Grove Cafe had a special today for St. Patrick's Day. Corned Beef and Cabbage and Dessert. (I chose Irish Whiskey Cake) - So I wanted some. As I left to drive down I saw some kids standing outside the house just south of me.
They had a big sign "Honk if you are Irish". They were the cause of the noise. As I went around the corner one of them who had the Honk if you are Irish painted on him came running up and got me to honk. I did not have my camera with me so I went down to Larry's and got my supper and brought it home. As I drove up I noticed that they were no longer out in front. Instead they were talking to a lady in a car in their driveway around the corner. I went in and got my camera. As I came out I heard. Uh Oh, what are you doing? "Documenting" I told them. They were worried. I told them it was for the Blog. So they posed for me. Documentary evidence below.
FUN! - I was disappointed that they were no longer out in front. But they posed for me. Then they wanted to know if I had been the one who called the cops. Evidently they had a visit from the constabulary and were told they could not do what they had been doing. What they had been doing was celebrating their Irishness. Having harmless fun. Making some noise. - But it was the middle of the afternoon and they weren't hurting anyone. I don't even think they were drinking.
They were cute kids and as I said having harmless fun. Not hurting anyone and it was not late at night. Some old "stick in the mud" called the police. People should lighten up. Now if it had been 11:30 at night and I were trying to go to sleep I might feel differently but it was the middle of the afternoon for God's sake. Anyway - HONK IF YOU ARE IRISH - I am and I did. Thanks for stopping by. Hugs, j-bear

I wonder what it was they were supposedly doing that the cops could tell them to quit. Seems like peaceful assembly is guaranteed in our constitution. Seems like freedom of expression is guaranteed. Making noies and annoying the neighbors starts to get into a gray area.
