Last Sunday I was "on the road" and did not share Patrick's book with you. I am getting close to the end of it. Here is the Wisdom for this week:

Have we not all one Father? Has not one God created us? Why then are we faithless to one another, profaning the covenant of our ancestors?

Malachi 2:10
Judaism & Christianity

He is the one God, hidden in all beings, pervading the universe, the inner Self of all brings, the witness, overseer of the work, dwelling in all beings, free from all qualities, the only one.

Svetasvatara 6:11 Adapted
Hinduism

When I visited the Unitarian Church one time I was very impressed with the thought that they sang "I see the Christ in you". Christ to me is the divine spark best exemplified by Jesus who came to show us the Father and teach us how to live with one another and the universe. If we all have one father then we be brethren and in Masonry one of the Scriptures we use tells us "How good and how pleasant it is fro brethren to dwell together in unity." When we can see God in other beings we are transformed ourselves. And I might also add we need to recognize the Christ in ourselves and live according to our highest self.

We all want to connect, but we all want to be unique and different, too, so it is hard to reconcile and get along.
