God Beams -

My friend Bob called this morning and told me how very fortunate I was to be in just the right place to get this picture. Don't I know it. I have never seen the sky just like this before. He tells me they are called God Beams (Crepuscular rays) and he very kindly took out a few telephone poles and made the colors just a tad more dramatic. For those who want to know where a photo was taken I had just gotten off the Interstate on 13th Street and I pulled over to the side of the road and leaned out and took the picture. I love the tree and the way it anchors the photo. I guess having a "tired butt" and coming home early had its advantage - I would never have seen this and gotten the picture for you to enjoy.
