The real reason to vote and vote Democratic!
According to Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), the goal of the Republicans in the new Congress will not be to restore the economy, end the wars, repair the infrastructure, or reduce the deficit. The most important thing to him and the GOP leadership is this:

Very few elected members of that party at the national level, so far as I can tell, have had any other goal since 2008, and only a few at state and local levels have had other goals. It's very sad when a venerable political movement degenerates into sloganeering and innuendo, rather than contributing to the common good. Historically, such a decline into irrelevance has been the death rattle for many political movements. It's one of the reasons there aren't many Whigs around these days.
