"Secret" History of the Freemasons

I am probably not going to watch it this time around but for those interested, the Discovery Channel is re-running The Secret History of the Freemasons at 5:00 this evening. It purports to "examine the history and secret rituals of the legendary fraternal organization, as revealed by a 33rd-degree Master Mason."

(By the way a Master Mason is a Third Degree Mason. A 33rd-degree Mason has a different designation ( Inspector General Honorary) - If these folks are going to "expose" us they ought to get the titles correct. It continues at 6:00 PM.  (In one TV guide it says that it repeats at 10:00, however in another that is not the case. )

Well, to be fair, a 33rd degree mason IS a Master Mason. But, by definition, so are 4th-32nd degree Scottish Rite masons... :)

He had to be a MASTER MASON first. I still maintain that there is no such thing as a Thirty Third Degree Master Mason.
