Named for Charles Edwin Friley (1887 - 1958), the 9th president of ISU. Friley Hall is the one of the largest dormitories in the United States. It has undergone multiple additions and now includes the former Hughes Hall at the west end of the building. 88.5 KURE broadcasts alternative music and talk radio programs from a studio in this building.
