Cold Prickly

Bob writes:
We have all heard of remarks that are "warm fuzzies" or the oppostite kind that are "cold pricklies." This photo is of a beautiful cold prickly! In this case a Bull Thistle, with its seed head still in place, complete with its prickly stickers, and beautiful, ice crystals created from the hoar frost that enveloped the area around Ledges State Park this morning. This thistle was about ten feet away from the Fox Tail shot that was posted early on Thursday morning. It was fun to be there, to see these jewels up close, and this photo encapsulates some of the beauty I found there.
