Isn't this a neat picture? I took it out of the front window of my car as I started home. We are having weather. I was in Des Moines all day working at the Consistory and at a practice for Specialis Procer Lodge U. D. When I went down this morning there was a beautiful sky with a pretty sunrise. At noon when we went out to eat it was still nice. When you work in the Consistory you really aren't aware of the weather outside.
This is Kurt. He and I worked in the Library all afternoon. Kurt is cataloging the library and I helped him. When we quit we had some of my scotch and relaxed (Kurt looks relaxed) and rehearsed the Lodge, Chapter and Council openings. We were going to go out to eat but when I looked at the weather I figured I should head for home. So I did.
At lunch today Kurt and Shane and I went out to West Des Moines to a Mongolian Grill. (I forget the name Hoo Ha's or something like that - Kurt you can put it in the comments) - I was a little leery about it but am ready to go back. They have a unique system. You fill up a bowl or two with what you want. Then you take it to a large round counter inside of which is a round grill with about 8 or 9 guys cooking your food. (Oh, I forgot you also go over to another place and put the sauce on it.) - You walk around while your food is being cooked and they bring it to you. You can go back as many times as you want. It was excellent. It was about $30 for the three of us. As I said I was worried about what it would do to my blood sugar (BS) and need not have worried - When I finally got home tonight it was about 89. Which is pretty low.
I really enjoyed today and the "boys" were glad to see me when I came home. I had to drive about 40 miles an hour on the way home. It was nerve wracking but I would do it all over again. I got to work on a worthwhile project and discovered some hidden treasures at the Consistory. Mainly I just enjoyed spending time with human companions. I love the "boys" but it is nice to talk to some one. Of course I have not kept up on my blogs. I did notice that one of my Blogfriends has developed the flu and I feel badly about that. I don't have much truck with illness. I suppose it goes with being a Christian Scientist for about 30 years. I much prefer not being ill. (But I have been)
Tomorrow the Met is being broadcast live to the movie theater and I am looking forward to attending that. Popcorn and Puchinni. The Opera is La Rondine. I had to miss the last one.
Thanks for stopping by - ARTYAL. Hugs, j-bear.
