Miss Me?

Blogging has been light today. I went to the Consistory to work in the office. I entered some data into the Computer and really enjoyed doing it. I hope I didn't mess things up too much. The best part of the day was that Kurt and the Princess came down for lunch. She is so sweet and she still likes me. Climbed up on my lap and planted a great big kiss on my right cheek.

Kurt picked up Sammies from Quiznos. They are delicious and just right. The Princess is a little hard to understand but I am getting better at it. She is an absolute delight. I love to talk to her. But she sure lets you know when she wants something.

Her mother made this skirt for her out of a pair of jeans and she is posing- this gal is going far.

Kurt has made a Chamber of Reflection on the fifth floor for Specialis Procer to use before the First Degree. I climbed up to see it. I think having it will be a very nice meaningful addition to the work.

Then I got home tonight about 5:00 and put on my Tux and went to Eastern Star. Karen Kerper was installed as Worthy Matron of the Chapter and wonder of wonders she asked me to be the Installing Officer. The first time I was Installing Officer for Eastern Star was in 1973 when my mother was Matron. I enjoy doing it very much and there are certain lines in the Installation that I just love.

No one can truly affirm that another year, or even a single day will be committed to our trust. Therefore, if we have been faithful heretofore, let us increase our exertions for the future.
That is my favorite and I know I am not supposed to copy from the ritual but the whole idea of time being committed to our trust appeals to me. I think our time is a trust and we should use it wisely and not squander it. I of course never do what I say is good and I squander time all the time. I just never am able to reach the "high goals" I set for myself as a former friend was so quick to point out to me.

Anyway here are the pictures I took tonight. It was fun and I plan to get reinvolved with Eastern Star just as soon as I am not Secretary of the Lodges.

Ginny has redone the Family Cookbook and sent it to me via e-mail I can't wait to look more closely at it. She has been working on it for ages.
Thanks for stopping by, Hugs, j
