Sunday, Sunday

Poor old Max, He went running outside this morning as fast as he usually does. Unfortunately for him the snow was no longer just snow. We have a glaze of ice over everything, I looked outside and he was lying there having fallen. Can you imagine a dog falling on the ice? He just looked bewildered. The next time I let him out he did the same thing but this time he did not completely fall. He is used to the snow being something he can go out and lay down and make snow dogs in it. Not right now. And poor Bailey. The cold makes his back legs work improperly. It is really hard to watch him navigate the rough snow/ice. Now he is just stepping out to the top of the ramp and doing his business there without having to go very into the yard.

I went to Des Moines to help with an Installation. You can see the pictures I took on the Consistory Blog here if you are interested.
After the Installation I went out to Costco and bought some gas and groceries and drove home and was treated to this beautiful sunset as I drove across the flats. I am so glad the sky is back
This one is the hillside which leads up to the place I remember as a kid growing up. My mother and I lived with my grandparents. My grandfather was the head of the Hog Cholera Research station and we lived in a large farmhouse on the station. I used to go watch him post mortem the hogs and we also had guinea pigs. I played in the woods around the station and it was a wonderful place to start my life. And I had my wonderful mother and my terrific grandparents as my adults. I couldn't have asked for more.
I took this in the bathroom mirror just to show you that I do "clean up" once in awhile. Not a great picture but given the limitations of the subject it isn't too bad. I was going to watch the new International Dance Show tonight but messed up and did not tape it. No big loss. I used to watch the other dance show but did not like the "competition - vote somebody off" aspect of it. I hate "reality shows" There is nothing real about them. Thanks for stopping by. ARTYAL, Hugs - J

I love your sky photos. They look like home to me. I grew up not far from where you are.

You certainly do clean up well. I love the position of the camera in the photo and how it happens to show all the jewelry and cuff links.
