I am sure that all of us have been touched by the disease of cancer in some way or another.. I know that in my family I watched cousins and uncles die from this dreaded disease. No matter how hard it is for the person suffering from the disease it is also very difficult for the families involved.

Many of these families go to Iowa City to be with their family members who are there for treatment. Specifically the Grand Lodge is supporting the Russell and Ann Gerdin American Cancer Society Hope Lodge in Iowa City which will offer a home away from home for those fighting cancer by providing supportive, free, non-medical accommodations during cancer treatment for adult cancer patients and caregivers.

Please think of your family members who have dealt with this disease and think of how comforting it would have been to them and their caregivers to have a facility such as this. Grand Lodge has committed to this project over the next three years. Please join with us in this worthwhile project.
