Well, the first, of course, is a Bactrian camel, with origins in Mongolia, while the second is am Arabian camel. Since the hump is more apparent after a camel becomes an adolescent, Humphrey/s apparent lack of a hump is an illusion--one can see the beginning of a hump on his little back.
Despite my usual pedantry, it's a wonderful story!
