Warm sunset....cold night! Photo by Bob Kelly

This was the way the day ended on Sunday evening with a red and warm colored sunset, on the cold plains of Iowa. It got down to -5 degees F in the early morning hours of Monday, and will continue very cold all day long. I like the simplicity of the photo with the farm buildings providing the human interest, and the rays of sun spewing out what warmth it can, as it descends below the horizon. Keep warm!!

I imagine Iowa must be wonderful for star gazing and watching the heavens progress through the year.
