Company

David and Gilbert (Formerly known as Farnsworth) stopped over tonight.  It was nice to see them. I always enjoy having them drop by.

Gilbert and Cassie do not get along and Miles was not a good host so I put him in the kennel where he let us know how unhappy he was.

I ate supper at Battles.  I had to run errands tonight because this is what is promised:

Winter weather advisory in effect from 9 am Saturday to midnight cst Saturday night,
The NWS in des moines has issued a winter weather advisory for blowing snow, which is in effect from 9 am saturday to midnight cst Saturday night.

Timing or short term trends, light snow will fall throughout the day Saturday. A northwest wind will increase t0 25 to 35 mph with gusts approaching 50 mph possible. This will cause blowing snow and reduced visibilities.
Storm total snow accumulations, around an inch of snow is expected with locally higher amounts possible.
Impacts, falling and blowing snow will reduce visibilities to near zero at times. This will make walking and driving extremely difficult.
Precautionary/preparedness actions,
A winter weather advisory for blowing snow means that visibility will be limited due to strong winds blowing snow around. Use caution when traveling, especially in open areas.

Gilbert climbed up on Cassie's bed.  He was not happy about visiting and stayed right up next to David. He is a little sweetie.  He behaves wonderfully but he tried to snip at Miles and David was afraid that he would get bitten.

Tomorrow I have an Eastern Star Home Board Meeting in Boone at 10:00 AM.  Not sure I am looking forward to the trip over.  In the evening we have the Family Christmas Dinner at Arcadia Lodge.  On Sunday afternoon Arcadia Lodge has Installation of Officers.  I hope the weather cooperates for that event.

Have a wonderful week-end.  Hug your loved ones.  j
