Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it!
Studying history is necessary to avoid repeating past mistakes. This saying comes from the writings of George Santayana, a Spanish-born American author of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
Mr. Obama is wrong. If the people who were responsible for these atrocities are not held responsible he is setting a precedent for a future where they WILL happen again. America must stand for the rule of law and protection of her citizens. Right now we are seeing people arming themselves and killing innocent people in churches and other places. If they are not held accountable it will escalate and continue and it will not be a good thing. Mr. Ford did the same thing with Mr. Nixon. If he had not been "pardoned" he may have been proven innocent. If not he should have been held responsible. I do not like what I am seeing happening in my country. The wing nuts are stirring themselves up to a frenzy. Hold them responsible for what they do.
