Spring slowy arrives in Ames..

Bob writes:
Despite the colder weather the last few days and the dire warnings of a major snow storm this weekend, I found a few signs of spring in Ames on Saturday afternoon.

These Forsythia blooms were showing off along the north side of Lincoln Way, about a block east of Squaw Creek.

The beautiful carpet of Blue Scilla were adding color to the backyard of ISU's President on the west bank of his offical residence. Tiny, beautiful and worth the dirt on your pants to lie down on your stomach and see them at eye level or take photos like I did.

This pair of brave Daffodils were showing their stuff in the partial sunshine and strong breezes.
