I was reading "my" blogs tonight and came across this story. It brought tears to my eyes. I blame the adults in the school for allowing this to happen. Bullying a child to death. We must stop this from continuing. Children have a right to grow up safe and protected. What kind of a society allows children to call each other these names and cause them to take their own lives? How this mother must have felt to have to cut her son down from hanging himself! Even if this 11 year old by was gay he had no choice in the matter and he did not identify as gay. Other people bullied him and picked on him until he could no longer take it.
Have you ever been rejected? Multiply it to 3 or 40 times a day and think about how difficult this boy's life must have been. It is wrong on so very many levels. Please fight this cancer on our society. Everyone has a right to be treated with respect. Like it or not.
