For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of he body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ.
I Corinthians 12:12
Christianity

O contending peoples and kindreds of the earth! Set your faces towards unity, and the the radiance of its light shine upon you. Gather ye together, and for the sake of God resolve to root out whatever is the source of contention amongst you. Then will the effulgence of the world's great Luminary envelop the whole earth, and its inhabitants become the citizens of one city and the occupants of one and the same throne.

I think that more people are interested in what divides us than what unites us. People seem to need to be "right" and wish to impose their wants/desires/wills on every one else. I saw a video over at the Rev. Fred's about a missionary who went to South America and lived with a tribe. His purpose was to convert them. They wound up deconverting him. It gave me a lot to think about.

I keep thinking about the scripture we use in Lodge as I write this. "Behold how good and how pleasant it is when Brethren dwell together in unity." And the truth is it would be if we only did. All too often we don't. Have a unifying week. j
