Road Trip

My friend and I went over to Tama to meet another friend. It was half way between our towns.
A Road Trip in Iowa this time of year is very beautiful. And Iowa is not flat.
My friend and I both prefer to take the "road less traveled by" so I showed him one of our farm to market roads between Marshalltown and Ames.  I love the road it is hilly and scenic with nice bottom lands interspersed in between the hills.

We had to take a slight detour. Which was neat because we got to drive past the place where Florida Electric (I think) is putting up a forest of Windmills. They are laying all around the area and I took some pictures of them I have never seen them up close before. They are quite large.

The clouds were incredible. High and whispy.

Well kept Iowa farms.
Beautiful crops. Everything looks good.

You can see for miles along E-29
Just north of Ames near Wakefield woods there was a rainbow-like coloring in the clouds. I didn't really capture it in this picture but you can still see the beautiful clouds.

It has been an exciting day. The meeting went well and someday I will blog about it but for now just be happy to have ridden along to see some of the beauty of my state.

Oh yes, I had never been to the casino before so I had to play the slots.
Don't worry. I only lost $10.75 That is my limit.

Thanks for stopping by! Hugs, j

My limit is $20, and I try to stick to it. I only play them once a year, so it's not too bad, right?
