Third Degree

The Altar is prepared

Practicing

Tonight - Well actually last night because it is now early Saturday morning Specialis Procer Lodge U. D. performed its first ever degree work. Brother Kurt Hoffmann, Sr. Warden arranged for us to do a courtesy master Mason Degree on his real life Brother Kevin. (This was the 8th degree I had participated in this week and the ninth Masonic Meeting.) The members came early and practiced and there were a couple of people who had never done their parts before. Including the Worshipful Master for the Second Section. Everyone did a great job and I think our candidate was impressed. He leaves for Florida tomorrow. (Funny that is two third degrees where the recipient has left the state the next day. - Maybe it is something in the water) He was able to take his degree and while he went out and passed his Masonic Enlightenment Course we had a nice visit. He came back in and demonstrated the Modes of Recognition and was pronounced as Proficient.

Wade has a very nice post on this event here.
Worshipful Master Bonney's post is here.

Now it is after 1:00 and I am off to bed. I will write my Wordzzle tomorrow. The Minnesota trip fell through so I have three free days. Anybody want to do something give me a call. But I would prefer it not be Masonic. Until Thursday when I have another Third Degree. Thanks for stopping by. Hugs, jcs
