Wordzzle

Well, I seem to have been unlocked so I shall catch up - First the Wordzzle. Rules are under the button.

The words for this week's ten word challenge were: ghastly, excrement, bill of sale, vague, thicket, precarious, life long ambition, gunnery sergeant, posthumous, bellowed

And for the Mini Challenge: lap of luxury, yellow-bellied sapsucker, quinine, generalization, abnormality

"Saydie,"
bellowed Sallyie, "You know that is not true. That is a ghastly thing to say! You know that it is gunnery sergeant Phrog's life long ambition for us to meet his finacee. After all we are his best friends and have kept him in the lap of luxury ever since he was selected for the Phrog of the Year Award by the Order of the Salamanders. You know that award is only given to those who have kissed the yellow-bellied sapsucker while standing in a thicket of thorny bushes with a vague look on their face and we have to keep a supply of quinine on hand to treat his abnormality as his life is very precarious and if we are not careful we shall have to bestow a posthumous award on him and that would just be a pile of excrement.

Next Week's Ten Word Challenge will be: middle finger, text message. the letter “Q,” Shangri-La, melodramatic, compensate, elixir, band of brothers, quadruped, explicit

And for the Mini Challenge:
deposition, monosyllabic, better off dead, dubious, posh

Hi... glad your blog has been unlocked. I'll take the paragraph about you out of the post.

I am awed by how succinctly you have gotten all the words in this week. Awesome job.

One time in Mexico while finishing a bottle of Tequilla I thought I had kissed a yellow-bellied sapsucker, but it turned out quite different.
